of Beverly Lane, Peekskill, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 after a long illness.
David was born September 13, 1948 in Peekskill; a son of the Dorothy J Alexander
and the late Harold J. Alexander.
David, a retired Science teacher from Putnam
Valley Central School District, returned to teaching in 2003 at the North Salem School
District.
David is survived by his mother, Dorothy, and by his two brothers,
Harold of Gardiner, NY and Richard of Brockport, NY. He is predeceased by his father,
Harold and his brother, Charles.

Kenneth G. Bose,
a resident of Putnam Valley, died at Hudson Valley Hospital Center. He was 51. Kenneth
worked as a splicer for Con Ed in the Bronx. Kenneth was the beloved husband of Teresa
Bose, the cherished father of Richard and Jonathan Bose and the loving stepfather
of Christopher and Jennifer Torsiello. He is also survived by his loving brothers,
Richard and Arthur Bose as well as his aunt, Eleanor Bose. Visiting hours will be

Connolly, a Lake Peekskill resident, died Thursday, November 4, 2004 at Hudson Valley
Hospital. He was 75. Francis what the beloved husband of Kathleen Connolly, the loving
father of Tom, Warren, Joe, Chris, Cathy and Tim, and the cherished grandfather of
5 grandchildren.

James Charles
Coombs, Sr., of Springhill, FL, formerly of Cortlandt and E. White Plains, NY Passed
away on November 15, 2004 in Florida. James was a plumber with Local 21 for over
50 years when he retired to Florida. He was a member and past Fire Chief of Lake
Mohegan Volunteer Fire Dept., and a member of White Plains VFD Engine Co. #3. James
was also a member of American Legion Post #136 Moses Taylor in Mount Kisco, NY. He
is survived by his beloved wife, Marianne, by his loving children, James, Jr. &
wife Cynthia of Putnam Valley, and Connie Oswald of Cortlandt Manor, by his 5 grandchildren,
Johnny & Karen Oswald, Lisa & Robby Teichman, and Jessica, Eril and Adam

Amy Demers, a long
time Putnam Valley resident, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004 at Hudson Valley Hospital.
She was 78. Amy was born in Flint, Michigan on May 3, 1926. She had worked in banking,
and retired from the Bank of New York in Peekskill. Amy was predeceased by her beloved
husband Edward in 1987. She was the loving mother and mother-in-law of Susan &
John Olson, Nancy & Stephen Bobik, Sr., Doris & Andrew Piehler and Edward
& Jennifer Demers. Amy was the cherished grandmother of Jeffery, Justin &
Amy Jamison, Stephen, Jr., Brandon & Brina Bobik, Matthew, Andrew & Mary
Piehler and Amanda & Deanna Demers; and the step-grandmother of Leslie &
Elizabeth Olson and Stephen & Brandon Anthony. Amy was predeceased by her precious

Sandra was born in Brooklyn on October 23, 1936. She worked for many years as a Business
Representative for the Telephone Company. Sandra is survived by her beloved husband,
Vern Esterly, by her loving children, Francine Jordan, Charles Booth and Cindy Booth,

Gorman, Nancy
Nancy Beth Gorman,
a life long resident of Putnam Valley, passed away suddenly at Hudson Valley Hospital
on February 7, 2004. She was 51 years old.
Nancy was born July 26, 1952 to William
and Lillian Feeney. She graduated from Peekskill High School. On July 14, 1973, she
married James (Jay) Gorman. She has worked as a Keyboard Specialist with the Hudson
Valley D.D.S.O. for over 15 years.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband
Jay, her devoted daughter Jill DeRenzo & her husband Tim, her caring parents,
brothers Dennis (Theresa) Feeney, William, II (Deborah) Feeney, and Richard Feeney,
brother-in-law Craig (Ann) Gorman and many dear nieces and nephews. Nancy is predeceased
by her sister Rosemary and her husband Philip Spears and by her sister-in-law, Patrice
Feeney.
Nancy will always be remembered for her undaunting outlook on life,
her willing nature and her love of children. Among her many interests, Nancy enjoyed
cross-stitching, and participated in the Guiding Eyes for the Blind guide dog breeding
program for many years by raising and caring for breeding dogs..
As Nancy was
a diabetic since age 9 and a kidney transplant recipient 18 years ago, in lieu of
flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation,
432 Park Ave., South, 15th Floor, New York, NY 10016.

Charles Graci, most
recently of Yorktown Heights, died Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at Putnam Hospital.
He was 95. Charles was born in New York City on September 23, 1908. He lived for
many years in the Bronx, he then moved to Cortlandt Manor where he lived for 23 years
before moving to Hopewell Junction where he lived for 4 years. He was retired from
the US Postal Service. Charles was married to his beloved wife, Jennie for 69 years.
She predeceased him in May 2004. Charles is survived by his cherished son and daughter-in-law,
Elia "Sonny" Graci and Marguerite Graci; and by his loving grandchildren
Anthony Graci, Angela Antunes and Maria Rizzuti; and 7 great-grandchildren. His cherished
grandson, Joseph Graci predeceased him. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 2-4

Jennie Graci of Hopewell Junction died Wednesday, May 12,
2004 at her home. She was 92. Jennie was born in Bronx, NY and lived there for 65
years. She moved to Cortlandt Manor where she lived for 23 years before moving to
Hopewell Junction where she lived the last 4 years of her life. Jennie is survived
by her beloved husband, Charles Graci; by her cherished son and daughter-in-law,
Elia "Sonny" Graci and Marguerite Graci; and by her loving grandchildren
Anthony Graci, Angela Antunes and Maria Rizzuti; and 6 great-grandchildren. Her cherished

and Joseph Iversen. June was pre-deceased by her husband, Albert Hoffmann and her

time Putnam Valley resident, died August 5, 2004.. He was 86. John was the devoted

James J. Lynn Jr.,
Norfolk, Va, formerly of East Durham and Yonkers, died on July 2, 2004 in Norfolk.
James was born in Yonkers to James and Jessica Sagar Lynn who predeceased him. James
is survived by his wife Betty Cooper Lynn and his children Maura Ann Strajura, Christopher,
Patricia Baer and Patrick, Elizabeth, James III and John. Loving brother of Grace
McArdle, Christine Kerest and John Gary Lynn. Stepfather of Linda, Donna, Wanda and
Jerry. Grandfather of 12 and uncle of several nieces and nephews. James was appointed
to the Yonkers Police Department on August 12, 1964 and he retired on May 29, 1987.
Prior to becoming a member of the YPD he was a former New York State Trooper for
5 years. He was assigned to the Detective Division for several years and later assigned
to the Traffic Division's Motorcycle Unit, following in his father's foot steps.
James played the bag pipes and for many years was a member of the New York City Emerald
Society's Pipe Band, Yonkers Police Benevolent Association and Former State Trooper's

IV, a Putnam Valley resident, died suddenly on September 1, 2004 at his home. He
was 17. Albert was a student at Putnam Valley High School where he was set to begin
his Senior year. He was the beloved son of, Albert III and Maria Matthews of Putnam
Valley, the loving brother of Jennifer and her husband Andrew McDonald and Samantha
Matthews, and the cherished uncle of Garvin, Alec, Owen and Keira. He was predeceased
by his brother Christian Theile. His grandparents, Judy and Lenny Scheno, Dorothy
MacNeil and Albert Matthews, and great grandmother Mildred Matthews, all of Florida,
also survive. Albert embraced life, and will be deeply missed by his family and many

Rucker, Frances
Frances Rucker,
loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on May 4, 2004.
Born
in New York City on October 31, 1932, she was the daughter of Anna Todd and Lisardo
Nunez.
In 1952, she married Herbert Rucker. He died in 1963. Frances was a
treasured mother. She devoted her entire life to her family. She will live in our
hearts forever. Her strength and generosity will always be an inspiration to her
family, and to all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Bunker
and her husband Leo, Linda Sestito and her husband Pete, and by her son Paul Rucker.
Frances is also survived by her grandchildren, Peter Sestito and his wife Chrissy,
Jenn Bunker, Scott Bunker and his wife Andrea, Rich Sestito, Michelle, Paul, Jr.
and Vicky Rucker; and by her great-grandchildren, Ava and Grave Sestito.

she is survived by her sister, Gloria, her brother, Vinnie and many nieces and nephews.

the Bronx and was a retired carpenter and owner of TMS Partition and Contracting
from 1981-1995. Thomas is survived by his loving wife Margaret to whom he had been
married for 15 years. He is also survived by his cherished children - 3 daughters,
Sharon, Theresa and Michelle and 1 son, Michael; by 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

after a long illness. He was 51. Richard graduated from Lakeland High School in 1970.
He worked for years in food marketing at Shopwell, A&P, and most recently, Acosta
Sales & Marketing Co. Richard is survived by his cherished wife, Sandy Weiglein;
his loving children, Gretchen, Will and John; and his beloved dog, Woody. His brother
Andrew Weiglein of CT and his sister Judy Beisecker of FL as well as 6 nieces and
several grand nephews and nieces also survive as does his mother-in-law, Gertrude
Carter Kelly. Richard was predeceased by his parents, Eunice and Andrew Weiglein,

his parents, Samuel and Marie Zarcone. The family will receive friends on Wednesday
from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, Morrissey Drive, Putnam Valley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Church of
the North American Martyrs and interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. In lieu
of flowers, the family requests donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
