Coppola, a long time Putnam Valley resident, died Saturday, March 29, 2008. Margaret
is survived by her beloved husband, John to whom she was married for almost 55 years.
Margaret is also survived by her cherished children, John, Allen, Raymond and Jane
Coppola and Agnes Powe and her husband Ron, and by her grandchildren, Monica Brady
and her husband Colin, Christina and Justin Coppola and Candace and Courtney Powe.
Her great-grandsons, Anthony Coppola and Aiden Brady also survive. Margaret was predeceased
by her daughter Mary Margaret Coppola and her granddaughter Brandie Alexa Powe.

Costa died February 19, 2008 at Mt. Sinai Hospital. She was 60 years old. Renate
is the beloved daughter of Frieda Iamundo and is also survived by her sons Andreas
Costa and his wife Kelly and Christoper Costa and his wife Stephanie. Her three grandchildren,
Ashley Staten and McKenzie and Kamryn Costa also survive as do her niece Lisa Gillon,

Alfred DeGrazia
of Beach Lake, PA, formerly of Putnam Valley, NY passed away peacefully on April
20, 2008. Alfred was born on January 21,1924 to Salvatore and Antionette DeGrazia.
He served in the Civil Conservation Corps and worked for many years as a garment
cutter in the garment cutters union. He was a long time parishioner of St. Columbanus
Church. Alfred is survived by his three grandsons, Michael, Christian and Nicholas
and by his great-grandchildren, Carly Ann, Makenzie Jane and Adrianna Marie DeGrazia.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary DeGrazia, by his brother, Michael and
his two sisters,Katie and Regina and also by his son,Michael J. DeGrazia. Services
will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008 beginning at 9 am, at the HERITAGE FUNERAL

Christine Fristrom, born February 18, 1992, was called suddenly to Heaven by her
angels on Wednesday, April 23, 2008. She is survived by her parents Kenneth and Colette
Fristrom (nee Delaney) and by her brothers, Todd Lewis, Carl Fristrom and Sean Fristrom
and her sisters, Nicole Lewis and Payla Fristrom and her best friend and second mom,
Carol Wolff. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother Priscilla Delaney of
Montrose and her paternal grandparents Leonard and Elizabeth Fristrom of Florida.
A memorial Service to honor her precious spirit will be held on Wednesday, April

Robert J.
Gambichler, Sr., a beloved husband and father, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2008
at Hudson Valley Hospital Center after a long illness. He was 86. Robert was born
in Troy, NY to Joseph and Josephine on December 2, 1921. He married Mary Breznicky
on February 20, 1943 at Holy Trinity Church in Yonkers, NY. They were married for
65 years. Robert worked as an Inspector at General Motors Assembly Division in Tarrytown,
NY for 32 years. He loved music, Bingo, family and friends and was known as "the
Candy Man".
Robert is survived by his beloved wife Mary and by his 6
children, Verna Mae (Raymond) Newby of California, Robert of Clintondale, Betty Malec
of Yonkers, Irene (John) Volkmann of Hopewell Junction, Joseph (Cathy) of Port Richey,
Florida and George (Ceclia) of Maryland, and his 20 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
He
was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Josephine and by his beloved brother, William
Gambichler.

James B. Sherry,
87, of Roaring Brook Lake, Putnam Valley, NY, formerly of the Bronx NY, passed away
on January 27, 2008. He was born on April 7, 1920 in the Bronx. On September 1, 1940,
he married Anne Goodfellow who predeceased him on April 27, 1989. Mr. Sherry is survived
by his sons, James B. Sherry and his wife Bernadette of Wallkill, NY; John Sherry
and the late Irene of Putnam Valley, NY and William Sherry and his wife Maura of
Montgomery, NY. He also leaves six grandchildren, James, William E., Michelle, John,
William B., and Matthew as well as three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Megan and Jack.
James was a decorated WWII veteran. He was part of the invasion of Normandy and was
awarded a Purple Heart for his service to his country. Visiting hours will be on

of Surry, NH (formerly of Cortlandt Manor, NY) died at home March 9, 2008, with her
family at her bedside. Survivors include her daughter, Helen Sinnott of Peekskill,
NY; her son and daughter-in-law, James and Sharon Sweeney of Surry, NH; five grandchildren
and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 30th,
11:30 am at Heritage Funeral Home, Morrissey Dr., Putnam Valley, NY. The family has
asked that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Mrs. Sweeney's memory to

Thomas J.
Whittaker, Sr. of Putnam Valley, NY died peacefully at Peninsula Regional Hospital,
Salisbury, MD on Friday, September 26, 2008. Born in New Jersey on July 24, 1924
to Thomas Whittaker and Cecilia Whalen, Mr. Whittaker grew up in East Rockaway, Long
Island. After high school, he attended the Fagan Dramatic School of Drama and Radio,
obtaining a commercial radio license. He then became a technical flight operator
for Pan Am's Florida Far East Flights. Naval wartime services included radar operations
and USO broadcasts. He worked as a newscaster for WFAS in Hartsdale, NY as well as
CBS, NYC under the pseudonym of Roy Andres.
He was married to Patricia Hanlon
of Putnam Valley, NY, who died in May, 2000.
His hobbies include: piano, painting,
writing, photography, wood working, camping and sailing.
Mr. Whittaker is
survived by seven children: Christine Richmond of Binghamton, NY, Thomas Whittaker,
Jr. of Croton-on-Hudson, NY. Cathy Stubbs of Lagrangeville, NY, Kevin Whittaker of
Putnam Valley, NY, Brian Whittaker of Putnam Valley, NY, Cecilia Whittaker-Doe if
Brooklyn, NY and Celeste Whittaker of Peekskill, NY. He is also survived by nineteen
grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, and by his brothers Ricky Saur of Buffalo,
NY and Richard Whittaker of Virginia.

Jane Zanotti, a longtime
Putnam Valley resident died April 19th. She was a retired teacher who was very involved
in her community and in civic matters. Jane was the beloved wife of Joseph Zanotti
to whom she had been married for 57 years. Jane was the loving mother of Kathleen
(Ron) Genovese and Robert (Julia) Zanotti and the cherished grandmother of Marissa
and Angela Genovese and April, Kevin and Patrick Zanotti. She is also survived by
her brothers-in law, Frank Zanotti and Msgr. Charles Zanotti. Jane will be missed
