We in Putnam Valley mourn the loss of one it's finest citizens and long-time sage. We are among those who had much to learn and welcomed his wisdom. Herbie will be sorely missed. Our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. It was an honor to serve with him on the zoning board and an honor to be his friend and neighbor! Mary, Bob, Christopher and the Dr's. Jeniffer Campo, MD & Jeff Stuppler, DVM.

My heart is heavy with grief for the loss of someone that was a huge part of my childhood. Herbie was the epitome of tough love and would always tell the truth even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear. Honest, hard-working, full of wonderful amusing stories and as he leaves he takes a part of my heart. Prayers are with Anette, Peter and the rest of the family. I love you all and you are in my thoughts and tears................
