Esther Porrazzo

Esther L Porrazzo a long time resident of Cortlandt Manor passed away on January 19, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Esther was born in the Bronx on Oct 4 1928, daughter Anna and Nicholas Tyler, and sister of predeceased brother Albert. She married Nicholas Porrazzo on March 26, 1955 and together were the loving parents of daughter Lorraine (Lorrie) and sons Kenneth and Nicholas Esther was employed by Western Union for over 25 years. After she retired from W.U., she worked at Caldor in Peekskill, Rite Aid in Mohegan Lake, and The Laundromat in Shrub Oak, retiring at the age of 80. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years Nicholas, son Kenneth and wife Colleen, granddaughter Kayla, daughter Lorrie and husband John Lippert, and son Nicholas, nieces Kim Tyler, Claudia and Robert Kilroy and their children Dorothy and Ivy,nephews Rurik and Beth Tyler and their children Genevieve and Kaitlin, and Lance Tyler and his children Samantha and Matthew. She loved her family immensely. She also enjoyed sewing, crafts, reading mystery novels, her dog Coco, and being with her family every holiday and birthday. She will be deeply missed. The family of Esther Porrazzo will receive friends from 12 noon – 2PM on Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Heritage Funeral Home, Morrissey Drive, Putnam Valley NY. www.heritagefuneralhomeny.com. 845-526-3000 A Memorial service will be held at 1PM.
