Edward Francis Chomicki of Garrison, NY, entered into Eternal Life on Sunday, July 3, 2011. He was 73 years old. Edward is survived by his beloved wife Elizabeth, their loving sons Edward, Jr. of Poughkeepsie, Robert of Briarcliff Manor and Kenneth of Williamstown, NJ. Edward is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Ed, Will, Katie, Eric, Alexandra and Victoria. He was predeceased by his parents, Rose and John and his brothers, Alphonse, Alloy and Chester.

Edward served his country in the US Army 101st Signal Battalion Reserve. He was retired from the Eastchester Police Department where he had served as a Police Lieutenant. Edward also retired from Teamsters Local 456. He was the Past Commodore of the Tarrytown Boat and Yacht Club and he was an avid boater and hunter. Edward served as an Usher at St. Columbanus Church and was a member of REPA and NYPFRA; both police associations. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Visiting hours are on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, Morrissey Drive, Putnam Valley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 10 AM at St. Columbanus Church in Cortlandt Manor and entombment will follow at Rose Hills Cemetery.
