William P Kneuer
Died: Mar 21, 2019

William P. Kneuer, age 65, passed away after a long battle with cancer at home on Thursday March 21st with his loving wife Kim at his side. He spent his last days surrounded by family while listening to his beloved Beatles. Billy was born in Manhattan and raised in Putnam Valley, the town where he spent the remainder of his life with Kim and their children. After retiring from Local 91 Heat & Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers, he had several other occupations in his lifetime, some of which included a turkish taffy salesman and a crazy stint as a crypt zoologist. He equally loved the outdoors and animals, some of his hobbies included bird watching and fishing. Billy would often be found on Lake Oscawana enjoying the sunshine with a fishing pole in hand, a joke at the ready, and his canine companion by his side. He had a love for the simple things in life and could bring a smile to everyone’s face, he will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

He is survived by his loving wife Kim Nugent Kneuer, sons Max Kneuer and Evan Kneuer, daughters Carly Kneuer and Hannah Kneuer, and his dog Penny Lane. His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his sister Pat Carano and brother-in-law Tom Carano, sister Barbara Scuccimarra and brother-in-law Tom Scuccimarra, sister-in-law Nancy O’Hara and brother-in-law Jim O’Hara, brother-in-law Joseph Nugent and sister-in-law Luisa Nugent, and his many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday for 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, Morrissey Drive, Putnam Valley.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11 AM on Thursday, March 28th at the Church of the North American Martyrs ("the Indian Church") in Putnam Valley and entombment will follow at Rose Hills Cemetery.
