G. Joseph Coppa

Update: On Friday, September 18, 2020 a Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 AM at St. Columbanus Church, Oregon Road, Cortlandt Manor. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Joseph Coppa, 67, longtime resident of Putnam Valley, NY passed away on March 30, 2020 after a short illness. He was born in Bronx, New York to Giosue and Filomena Coppa. Joe met his loving wife Doreen in January of 1980. They were married on January 23, 1982 during an unforgettable snowstorm. Joe retired from Loew’s Corporation after 35 years. In his retirement he volunteered at St. Columbanus Parish and School and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He also volunteered at the Putnam Valley Community Food Pantry. Joe was always giving of his time and many talents in the service of others. He is survived by his wife, Doreen, his children Jeanne Marie (Keith) and Joshua (Alexa), his two grandchildren, Fay and Dixon as well as his sister Dora. He is also survived by his in-laws Mary Lou, Jeanne, Pat (Joe), Eileen (Don), Kathy, Grace (John), Kevin (Tricia), Susan (Gordon), Timmy (Sue), Kenny (Rory), his many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his parents Giosue and Filomena and his sister Mary.
