George Stoehr, 86, passed away on January 21, 2022 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s. He was born to Helen and Frederick Stoehr in Yonkers, NY on September 21, 1935. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Claire, and his 4 loving children, Linda and her husband Donald Kluge, Diane, and her husband Robert Consentino, Robert and his husband Ben Sevilla, and Michael Stoehr. He was a proud Papa to two grandsons, Matthew and Dylan.

George loved the sea. He served in the Navy and pursued a career in the Merchant Marine traveling to 5 continents.

A wake will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, Putnam Valley on Thursday, January 27 from 4 to 7 and a funeral mass at Church of the North American Martyrs, Putnam Valley on Friday, January 28 at 11:15 followed by burial at Calverton National Cemetery.
